    Vtg  Girl's Red Velvet Matching Bonnet and Hand Muff set ....New York Creations - used ...Content, Quality and Condition shown in Photos.  These lined garments, from New York Creations (label shown in photo) are in excellent condition considering their age..  Thought to be worn on special occasions in the late 40's early 50's. Sizing is difficult to determine.
    New York Creations label was formed in 1940's in cooperation with garment manufacturers and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. This particular label -- N  D  591050 -- likely identifies the manufacturer.
    Interior circumference  of the hat is 22 inches....the back has an elastic band to allow a expanded, tighter fit.  There are11-inch long red felt fabric ties on either end . a red feather flower is a prominent feature on the front of the hat. The thick muff is 7 inches long with a 4-inch diameter.  Both items are lined with off-white silk fabric. Estate acquired.
